The Einstein Letter is the incredible new play by Nicky Silver. It's a story about punishing ourselves for our past, and what love can make us do to take control of our future… in spite of the lies we tell ourselves.
Lydia is a venomous, foul-spirited elderly woman, a shut-in. She lives in a world which she has carefully constructed. That world is endangered by the arrival of Cal, the young man sentenced to deliver her meals.
Their conflict is revealing, often hilarious, and potentially dangerous.
Who is she? Who does he want to be? And what is... "The Einstein Letter”?

Having directed such critically acclaimed masterpieces as To Kill A Mockingbird, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Oslo, and Kiss Me Kate (now at the Barbican Theatre) we are so beyond thrilled to have Bart at the helm of telling this story.
From the suburbs of Philadelphia originally, Nicky Silver has made a prolific career of bringing the written word to the stage. Based in London, Silver splits his time between London and New York City and was last on Broadway with the critically acclaimed The Lyons, starring Linda Lavin
